The Gritty Palace was donated to MTM this past summer. The Jackson Street Roundhouse is now home. The 1902 Pullman coach served as the private car for president’s of the Rock Island Railroad. It is in near perfect condition and AMTRAK compatible.

This October, the Jackson Street Roundhouse brings the ghosts of railroading past back to life for a favorite trick or treating experience. Visit our scary old trains, take a haunted caboose ride, visit our resident hobo by the campfire for some smores, and start filling your trick or treat bag.
WEDNESDAYS and SATURDAYS – Tour through history with exhibits featuring local and regional railroad artifacts in a real railroad roundhouse. Explore 50 historic train cars on-site. Open on Wednesdays 10:00-4:00 and Saturdays 10:00-4:00
During the first three full weekends in December, we host our annual Santa’s Train Shop at Jackson Street Roundhouse & Museum. Come on out for activities all day long!

Our pizza trains are available most Saturdays starting early May through October, experienced in our classic “Rock” commuter coach cars.
Enjoy riding the rails to the Dresser Depot on historic passenger cars pulled by a vintage locomotive. At Dresser, tour the depot while the locomotive moves to the other end of the train for your return to Osceola on this round trip excursion. Plus……Ice Cream!
